Habitat Restoration at Debs Park

Help us build sustainable bird-friendly communities in Northeast LA!

VIEW UPCOMING HABITAT RESTORATION VOLUNTEER EVENTS HERE - events are posted monthly!

With walnut woodland, coastal sage scrub, riparian, and grassland habitats, Debs Park provides an impressive and important range of habitat for local and migrating birds, as well as other wildlife.

YOU can help us continue to restore this habitat by planting and maintaining native plant restoration sites!

Volunteer tasks typically include weeding, watering, mulching, and/or planting. All native plants are grown onsite in the Los Nogales Nursery, with seeds sourced from within Debs Park.

Volunteers meet in the Center courtyard. Close-toed shoes are required. Volunteers will be working outdoors, so please dress accordingly - sun protection and long sleeves/pants are highly recommended. The age limit to volunteer is 9 years old - volunteers under 16 must be accompanied by an adult at all times. All volunteers must sign a waiver prior to their first volunteer event

No previous experience required - join our amazing community of volunteers today!
