About the Organization: The mission of Changeist is to build a community of diverse young people that utilize their personal agency to create a more just society. The program engages more than 200 young people, ages 11-26, annually through interactive learning, service opportunities, and externships with various community based organizations. Our Partnership: The Center serves as an externship host site for Changeist students, who visit regularly throughout their program to learn about environmental justice through group activities and hands on volunteer opportunities. In 2019-2020, the Center had the opportunity to work with two Changeist Youth Organizers (a higher-level commitment track within the Changeist program), to put together a virtual panel discussion called Listening to the Land, as well as a Native Plant Giveaway for the local community.
