Interested in learning more about the local birds of Debs Park? Join us for an introductory bird hike to learn the basics of birding. Yes, birding is a verb! Come learn how the Audubon Center at Debs Park is creating more bird-friendly communities and get to know our local feathered neighBIRDS. All ages and birding knowledge levels are welcome. No admission fee.  This month's bird walk is being led by Project Phoenix, an organization dedicated to collecting data about the behavior of birds during wildfire season. Read more about Project Phoenix on their website here. WHAT TO BRING:  
  • Reusable water bottle
  • Comfortable walking shoes
  • Hats and sun protection are highly recommended
  • OPTIONAL : Binoculars and/or field guides if you have them. We have binoculars and guides available to borrow onsite.
PLEASE KEEP IN MIND:  
  • No previous birding experience required!
  • Path varies, there are some inclines
  • Please RSVP in advance
  • All ages are welcome
  • Attendees should expect to be walking for about an hour and a half. You are welcome to turn back when you are ready.
  • Please leave your furry friends at home.
  • Parking is available on-site. If the parking lot is full, please park along Griffin Ave.
