Come join us for a wildly fun night all in the name of our next-door-neighbor Mountain Lion, P-22!
To celebrate the upcoming P-22 Day and Urban Wildlife Festival on Oct 22nd in Griffith Park, we are hosting an Appreciation Night for the man (or lion!) of the hour, P-22!
Just how did P-22 end up in Griffith Park?! Come find out all about his miraculous tale (or tail!)!
We will hear from Tessa Charnofsky of the National Wildlife Federation, Beth Pratt-Bergstrom of the National Wildlife Federation and author of "When Mountain Lions are Neighbors, and Wildlife Biologist at the Natural History Museum, Miguel Ordeñana, who set up camera traps and captured the first images (and proof!) of P-22 in Griffith Park!
6pm - Introduction with Tessa Charnofsky, and presentations from Beth Pratt-Bergstrom, Miguel Ordeñana and Poison Free Malibu
6:30pm - "The Cat That Changed America" movie screening (50 min)
7:30pm - Q&A with Beth Pratt-Bergstrom and Miguel Ordeñana, followed by When Mountain Lions Are Neighbors book-signing
Children's Arts & Crafts will take place throughout the night- Come make a P-22 mask to wear on P-22 Day!
Our generous partner, Alma Family Services will provide free refreshments and movie popcorn.
